Work Experience

Pupils in Key Stage 4 have three opportunities for work related experiences.  These take place in June, October and February.  Some pupils develop their independence skills within a school based setting, whilst others work with a varied range of employers.  We have links with small local companies and big High Street names.  Many pupils learn how to travel to work on public transport and this may enable them to progress further onto independent travel to and from school.  Pupils learn how to behave maturely and safely in a working environment, responding to a range of different adults.  They complete a work pack about their placement which is accredited through the ASDAN Award Scheme.
