The Parents, Friends and Teachers Association has supported Bower Grove School for over 40 years now. Our objectives are to provide links between the school, the parents and children and the wider community as well as to raise money for the school.  The committee consists of parents, friends and staff of the school and we meet about 6 times a year.  We always welcome new members so if you would like to help support the school simply call the school office on 01622 726773 with an expression of interest, or ask at Reception or at any school events.

The PFTA sponsor the Parents Support Group which meets regularly on a Friday morning with guest speakers, advice, projects, and social mornings.  All parents, ex-parents and friends are welcome, as are parents of children in any other school who might be looking for support or help. For more information click on the "Parent Support" tab on the home page.

The PFTA provides school uniform for the pupils to purchase as well as Bower Grove Book Bags and waterproof PE bags.

The main events organised annually by the Committee are the Summer Fete, and Christmas Fair.  We are always interested to hear about events other organisations have found to be successful.  During the year the PFTA also supports events organised by the school such as Parents Evening, Sports Day etc.  We also support Christmas gifts or activities for each Key Stage annually to help make the season special for the children.

The PFTA has recently supported purchasing musical instruments for the school and helped financially to establish an Outdoor Learning Area for the pupils to enjoy which has extended to a Garden Rangers after school club.  Most recently they supported the refurbishment of the Dining Hall Servery area with wall art which has greatly enhanced the area.  In addition they have also contributed to the annual lease payment of one of our school minibuses.

This year the PFTA are raising funds in support of creating a new Sensory Room, Library and Information Hub for our pupils to enjoy.  This will be sited in the Primary end of the school but will be open to all pupils.

As you can see our PFTA is key in raising funds to provide resources for the school for all our pupils to enjoy and we are very grateful for all their hard work.
